Innovating Visibility: Product Literature Design and Strategy

A selection of product literature developed during my time as creative director for Simiron Coatings. This work involved the comprehensive design and strategy development for product literature across various product lines within the Simiron brand. In a market crowded with trusted big-name brands, the challenge was to establish Simiron as a standout player by disrupting the status quo and highlighting the brand’s innovative and forward-thinking approach.

Roles and Achievements: As Simiron’s creative and marketing director, my role extended beyond conceptualizing the brand identity and marketing strategies to shaping the look, presentation, and organization of all product collateral. The product literature became pivotal in sustaining the success of existing product ranges and driving awareness for new launches.

Collateral Development: The diverse range of collateral included brochures, installation guides, product data sheets, safety data sheets, quick-start guides, point-of-sale (POS) displays, signage, Amazon A+ Content, in-store displays, and custom displays tailored for retail chains like Costco and Home Depot. The development process involved creating a catalog system and visual design systems to maintain consistency across all Simiron collateral.

Print and Web Applications: Recognizing the importance of versatility, much of the collateral was designed to seamlessly transition between print and web applications. This ensured a cohesive and impactful brand presence across various touchpoints, adapting to the preferences of both digital and traditional consumers.

Impact: The project not only reinforced Simiron’s commitment to innovation but also established a strong visual identity that resonated with consumers in the competitive coatings market. The collateral became instrumental in communicating Simiron’s unique selling points and contributed to the brand’s visibility and success, especially in major retail outlets like Costco and Home Depot.

Showcasing my ability to not only conceptualize brand strategies but also to implement them across a wide array of collateral, creating a unified and compelling brand presence both in print and online.
